Our services include:

  • Powder mixing, compacting of green parts, sintering, re-pressing operations like sizing, Densiform®, Radiform®, HLD®/HLD sinter Process®
  • All secondary operations like machining (milling, turning, grinding, double-disc grinding)
  • Heat treatment operations (carburization, induction hardening, steaming)
  • Surface-finishing processes like tumbling, brushing, shot-peening and blasting, banding, gluing of carbon layers
  • Added value by teflon bandings for shock absorber applications and carbon friction lining
  • Carbon layers: cutting-edge adhesive bonding solutions in mass production
  • Production concept for helical gears, net-shape producing of external as well as internal helical splines for ring gears used in planetary transmissions

Innovation is our development motor. To provide our customers with unique solutions, we adapt our machines, tools and raw materials precisely to their requirements. This results in unrivalled products and processes such as Densiform®, Radiform®, HLD®/HLD Sinter Process® and Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC). PMG owns a total of 83 international patents, summarized in 53 patent families.

Densiform®

With its patented Densiform® process, PMG is capable to densify certain surface areas of powder metal components and achieve similar surface properties as wrought steel parts, whereas in not highly stressed segments of the product, the porosity could be preserved for features like lubrication, damping (NVH) and weight reduction.

Radiform®

The Radiform® process enables a fast and cost-effective way to press radial shapes in components like sliding sleeves and avoid ineffective machining operations.

Soft Magnetic Composites

As one of a few powder metal companies, PMG has expertise in the production of soft magnetic composites. SMC is a specially coated iron powder with outstanding magnetic properties in high frequencies and can be used for stator or rotor components in e-motors. SMC components are characterized by a high degree of design freedom allowing magnetic 3-D flux.
