The use of Wordfence is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the greatest possible protection of the operator’s website against cyber attacks. LinkedIn

The operator of this website has integrated components of the LinkedIn Corporation on this website. The operating company of LinkedIn is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. For privacy matters outside the United States, LinkedIn Ireland, Privacy Policy Issues, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, is responsible. Each time our website receives an access request equipped with a LinkedIn component (LinkedIn plug-in), this component causes the browser used by the data subject to download a corresponding display of the LinkedIn component. Further information about LinkedIn plug-ins can be found at https://developer.linkedin.com/plugins. As part of this technical process, LinkedIn receives information about which specific subpage of our website is visited by the data subject. If the data subject is logged in to LinkedIn at the same time, LinkedIn recognizes which specific subpage of our website the data subject is visiting each time the data subject visits our website and for the entire duration of their stay on our website. This information is collected by the LinkedIn component and assigned by LinkedIn to the respective LinkedIn account of the data subject. If the data subject clicks on one of the LinkedIn buttons integrated into our website, LinkedIn assigns this information to the personal LinkedIn user account of the data subject and stores this personal data. LinkedIn always receives information via the LinkedIn component that the data subject has visited our website if the data subject is simultaneously logged into LinkedIn at the time of accessing our website; this occurs regardless of whether the data subject clicks on the LinkedIn component or not. If the data subject does not want this information to be transmitted to LinkedIn, they can prevent the transmission by logging out of their LinkedIn account before accessing our website. At https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls, LinkedIn offers users the option to unsubscribe from e-mail messages, text messages and targeted ads, as well as the ability to manage ad settings. LinkedIn also uses affiliates such as Eire, Google Analytics, BlueKai, DoubleClick, Nielsen, Comscore, Eloqua, and Lotame. Such cookies can be rejected at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy. The applicable data protection provisions of LinkedIn are available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. The LinkedIn Cookie Policy is available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy

Jetpack for WordPress

The operator of this site has integrated Jetpack into it. Jetpack is a WordPress plug-in that offers the operator of a website that is based on WordPress additional functions. Among other things, Jetpack allows the website operator to see an overview of visitors to the site. By displaying related posts and publications or the ability to share content on the page, it is also possible to increase visitor numbers. In addition, security features are integrated into Jetpack, so that a website using Jetpack is better protected against brute force attacks. Jetpack also optimizes and accelerates the loading of images integrated into the website. The operating company of the Jetpack plug-in for WordPress is Automattic Inc., 132 Hawthorne Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. The operating company uses the tracking technology of Quantcast Inc., 201 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.

Jetpack sets a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. The definition of cookies is explained above. With each call-up to one of the individual pages of this Internet site, which is operated by the controller and on which a Jetpack component was integrated, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted to submit data through the Jetpack component for analysis purposes to Automattic. As part of this technical process, Automattic receives data that is subsequently used to create an overview of website visits. The data obtained in this way serves to analyze the behavior of the data subject, which has accessed the website of the controller and is evaluated with the aim of optimizing the website. The data collected through the Jetpack component is not used to identify the data subject without first obtaining the express consent of the data subject. The data is also provided to Quantcast. Quantcast uses the data for the same purposes as Automattic. The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time, as described above, by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Automattic/Quantcast from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. In addition, cookies already in use by Automattic may be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programs. In addition, the data subject has the possibility of objecting to a collection of data relating to a use of this Internet site that are generated by the Jetpack cookie as well as the processing of these data by Automattic/Quantcast and the chance to preclude any such. To do this, the data subject must click on the opt-out button under the link https://www.quantcast.com/opt-out/, which sets an opt-out cookie. The opt-out cookie set with the objection is stored on the information technology system used by the data subject. If the data subject deletes the cookies from his system, then the data subject must call up the link again and set a new opt-out cookie. However, if the data subject sets an opt-out cookie, then he may not be able to fully access the controller’s websites. The applicable data protection provisions of Automattic may be accessed under https://automattic.com/privacy/. The applicable data protection provisions of Quantcast may be accessed under https://www.quantcast.com/privacy/.
