	Customized synchronizer rings with application specific friction materials (sinter, carbon or others) for single, double and multiple cone applications are one of PMG’s core competencies.

The PMG strut design exhibits less invasive geometries for the hubs (higher resistance of the hub): The new shape of the PMG torsion struts does not have the T shape of the traditional struts. Therefore the strut pocket of the hub is less invasive reducing the geometrical notch effect of these pockets. So, for the same torque, risk of failure with the PMG torsion struts is less; or, in other words, the hub has the possibility to support higher loads.
	Possibilities of axial and radial blocking: Combining the geometry of the external body of the strut and the strut pocket in the hub, it allows to define contacts to avoid or limit radial or axial movements of the struts. Customized external body: The external body of the strut can be made of sheet metal or plastic and it can be designed with different geometries according to the requirements of the application.
Solution in a single body (encapsulated strut): All strut components are encapsulated creating one single part. This kind of strut can easily be assembled and disassembled in the synchronizer group. Other strut geometries: PMG also delivers other geometries for the struts, including traditional axial spring struts.
