On June 22, 2005, at the MPIF Congress in Montréal, Canada, Sinterstahl Füssen GmbH was awarded the "OVERSEAS GRAND PRIZE" for an innovative sprocket application in the international P/M design competition.

This prize-winning sprocket features not only complex geometries and tight tolerance margins but a novel Fe-Cr material (SIRON® P820m) which has with this application for the first time been used in volume production. Compared to conventional P/M technology considerable cost reductions could be realised.
