PMG, a global leader in the powder metal industry, has an immediate opportunity for a Research and Development Engineer for its Columbus, IN facility located just 30 minutes south of Indianapolis. Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is to design transmission components such as gears and to develop cost efficient and reliable processes for manufacturing these products using Powder Metal Technology. The ideal candidate must have experience in the design and testing of highly loaded transmission gears and a good knowledge of the effects of the manufacturing process on gear dimensional tolerance and performance.
The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience with three dimensional modeling, CAD or similar design software is required.
The selected candidate must have strong communication skills. The ideal candidate must also possess the ability to work in a team environment and have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Salary with complete benefits package is commensurate with experience.
